ANYWAYS I'm really behind on my writing but the thing is... I write in bursts... I will fucking finish this novel. I thought I knew where I was going with it... then I started thinking... "would I pick up this book in a store and read it myself?" no... no I would not. Not with where it was going... I felt like I was writing the outline for a lifetime movie... I wanted to choke myself. So... There is still time to change it! So I am...
Ok at this part I'm kinda writing an email... so its from first person (which is soo much easier for me to write than third person... I think I want to just go back and re-do everything in first person later? just make sure I identify who is who when I'm in their brains... yes? no? ok maybe...) Alright...
Harmon & Elijah meet each other online (I skip that part in the book cuz its boring...)
They talk for a few months and then it becomes an every day thing...
They share their hopes and dreams and start creating inside jokes.
Unknowingly they both begin to fall in love.
Elijah tries to explain to Harmon that what they have is purely virtual right now and they need to make it real. "What we have can't fill a heart, this is just laying the foundation for me to love you as a whole, to love you entirely. What we have almost reaches full capacity, its just lacking a little... lets make this real."
Elijah plans to go visit Harmon for a month, feel things out and solidify their relationship... "make this real" if you will.
Harmon expresses her insecurities and he dismisses them with a simple change of subject "you're beautiful, not just your looks but you as a person. I wouldn't waste my time, so clearly I'm in this for the long run."
Elijah hops on a plane and goes to visit Harmon
Harmon waits in the airport thinking he wont show up, but then he does and without any words at all he kisses her.
They go out to eat then go to her house and sleep, they wake up in the middle of the night (Harmon thinks the whole meeting was a dream until she goes in the living room and sees him there!! WOO!) and watch a movie.
While watching the movie, Elijah is watching Harmon and decides that he wants to spend the rest of his life with her and no one else! (aww)
The two go to the mall and Harmon lets her inner child out, Elijah didn't know what to expect.
They go home late that night and sit and talk about their friends
A few days go by and they end up going on a date. Ice skating! (its december!)
everything is funny and cute and magical and they head back to the apartment and have sex for the first time! WOOOOO! SEX!
Ok... then they wake up next to each other and talk about what life was like for both of them growing up...
- Harmon(22) grew up in the city, lots of guy friends and a lot of girls didnt like her. Mom left her and her dad when she was 12 and never came back... Dad raised her mostly. need to be a tough girl so no one walks all over you. She works at Beleza Studios as one of the head creative directors. She likes to make things look perfect on the outside, no matter what the inside is saying really. and she keeps a journal of letters that she would never give to the people she writes them to...
- Elijah(24) grew up in a close knit community where everyone knew everyone but you don't really have to associate with everyone... His parents have always been happily married and he is an only child. He took piano growing up but was discouraged by kids at school who used to beat him up and call him a fag. So he grew up to become a business man and keeps his inner musician a secret, and he is a MAJOR hopeless romantic.
anyways... moving on to post-sex Harmon/Elijah.
Harmon is much more confident about herself with Elijah, Elijah is much more convinced that she is the one for him. For forever!
Harmon introduced Elijah to Olivia, Olivia gets jealous that Harmon has this guys attention and she doesn't! She tries flirting but is shut down... She makes the mental choice of "if I can't have him, no one can... Especially not Harmon!" (haha some 'friend')
Harmon introduces Elijah to her dad! WOO! Her dad gives him a run down of the "3rd degree" and how if you hurt my baby I'll fucking mount your head on my wall! Then everything is fine and they get along really well.
More movies at home and cuddling <3 yay!
Elijah has to go home to deal with work and make money to pay off his car and school and his house.
Sad goodbyes are sad.
Back to online stuff...
Harmon goes into a depression and hangs out with Olivia way more than she should (Olivia is a horrible influence)
Drinking one night and the girls get so drunk they think they need MORE (damn thats gotta be REALLY blackout drunk!) so they drive to get more, bringing the laptop with them (stupid girl thinks that bringing the laptop means that Elijah can come with them... ok thats ridiculously drunk...)
Car wrecks on the way to the liquor store. broken laptop. broken Harmon. fractured and bruised Olivia.
Olivia leaves Harmon in the hospital but takes her phone and tells Elijah that Harmon died! Then she continues to text him and he gets pissed...
Harmon gets out of the hospital and tries to text Elijah, only to get the epic communication fail text "stop fucking texting me!" (OUCH!)
Harmon heals up and piles her self with work soo much that she has no time for life...
Elijah stops working as much and agrees to start seeing this girl (Alison) just in an attempt to move on from Harmon (who he thinks is dead still) but it just isn't working out...
Olivia moves away (thank god... stupid bitch)
One night he is laying with Alison and she does something that only Harmon has done and it triggers his memories of Harmon, making him want to go out and write her an email telling her everything he has ever wanted to tell her. How much he misses her and how much he thinks about her. Everything... thinking she is dead so she will never actually get the email.........
Alison wakes up and asks whats going on, he tells her everything and she leaves...
Harmon gets the email and responds... really confused... but he never actually said she was dead... just that he wishes she was still there and with him and all that cheesy shit...
He gets her response and is so shocked and stunned that he gets on a flight out to her right away. leaves everything behind and just goes straight to her without telling anyone (including her!)
He arrives really late at night and goes straight to Harmon's apartment.
Harmon is out with new friends at a bar, she catches a cab home and stumbles up to the door and sees that Elijah is there!!
He helps her in the house and she spills her guts about everything that has been happening since she stopped talking to him, and he tells her he thought she was dead because Olivia...
The next morning Harmon wakes up to tons of silver star confetti in a trail from the bed to the living room to the kitchen and leading to the highest cupboard in the house... the cupboard is filled with christmas lights, lit up... and fiber fill to recreate the look of clouds and stars... theres notes all the way up to there, the last one says "You belong on the highest pedestal. Find it."
In the fiber fill he has a ring in a box and he shows up behind her as shes climbing off the chair... he gets on one knee and asks her to marry him.
She is shocked and hung over and says yes but then asks where they will live... He tells her he doesn't care as long as he never has to be without her again.
They get married. Never have to be without each other again. (he sells his place and they move to a new place to start their new lives together!)
